2008 Oct 2 ♠ FIG concludes Beijing investigation over ages of Chinese gymnasts
Chinese women gymnasts are old enough and eligible to compete in the Beijing Olympics, and the controversial age case is now closed, said the Federation of International Gymnastics (FIG) in its official statement. The gymnastics world governing body "has completed its investigation into the ages of Chinese team gymnasts who competed at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games", FIG said in the statement posted Wednesday on its official website www.fig-gymnastics.com.

Slovak gymnasts Women's European Championships

23.3.2008

Since no gymnast from Slovakia qualified for 2008 Olympics Games in Beijing (with exception if some of qualified women withdraw and first reserve Ivana Kovacova will be able to compete), 27th European Championships for teams in women’s artistic gymnastics in Clermont-Ferrand (April 03 - 06, 2008) is the most important competition of the year. European Gymnastics Federation announced nominative entries for Championships. Seventeen coutries will bring full amount of 5 seniors and 5 juniors to France. Only one senior and two juniors will represent Slovakia.
